Wonder garden jack o hearts

I have been trying to figure out how to get the jack o hearts on my tamagotchi wonder garden I’ve seen pictures with people getting him but no guide on how. The queen of hearts gives you a jack o lantern with a heart carved into it and says this is how to catch him but I can’t figure it out

I have that done that and that’s how I got the heart lantern but she chases you can chase the jack of hearts but I can’t figure out how to chase him I’ve used it at night inside my house and outside but I can’t find him
