Why is my Tamagotchi doing this?

Hi all, I received this Tamagotchi on Christmas and today on the 8/01 while playing the music note game it all of a sudden went blank with a cross over what looks like a battery or USB. I don't remember seeing this on any of my older Tamas when I was younger. Any help would be appreciated!!

hi josey, that means the battery in the device is about to run out. ive heard that the batteries theyre sold with tend not to last long so theres probably not anything wrong with the device itself for it happening so fast
