Why dont I get an Allowance but my brother DOES!?

Well title says all.

My brother helps out in the backyard (Basically with the lawn and clean up, stupid) And gets paid like 5-10 dollars.

I basically work my but off trying to clean the house and dont get a PENNY, Im older then him and I have NEVER gotten a Penny for helping out (When I was 8 I got an allowance before my dad got cheap, he only paid me and Jacob a DOLLAR a week)

I need to know HOW to get my dad to pay me, he doesn't see me work, but I tell him I do work and he thinks Im lying, and I CANNOT work outside, that is NOT me.

Well there is one answer work for it yourself don't rely on your parents. I don't get an allowence either but I get lunch money so I save that up.

When he is home, ask him if you did something around the house, if you could get allowence like your little bro. I mean, if he saw you do the work then he wouldn't have any kind of excuse not to pay you atleast for your hard work and/or effort.

Don't do the chores. Then when he asks why you aren't doing them say, "See, I knew you would notice if I left my chores un-done. Why wont you pay me as well?"

Then if he still doesn't pay you go on a strike.

No, it's actually child labor if they do pay you.

Maybe your dad just prefers your brother over you? You should try doing yard work to see if you get paid. If you don't, then there might be a problem. If you do, then your dad just prefers you to do yard work.

Seriously if you're older, get a part time job delivering newspapers or babysitting other people. He probably gives your brother allowance because he is older and he needs to learn hard work pays off. You do normal chores and that doesn't mean you should get money.

I stopped getting money when I got older, its not that big of a deal. I'm getting the feeling this situation once again has been overexaggerated and we don't know the FULL story.
