Why are there so few tama sprite resources?

Hello, new to the forums, I came with questions.

I am trying to compile the sprites for the tamagotchi mini (including rares and version-specific like darumatchi), however there are no resources online for them. So, I have to either raise them each and copy them pixel per pixel, or watch videos and copy from there. Is it just too much work? Can you not access the hardware?

Not a lot of people in the fandom play with accessing the hardware it seems, and those who do haven't thought of uploading the sprite files. I guess it just hasn't been a need to anyone so far? When people want sprites they usually just take pic of each animation and then sprite it by hand.

@Jhud That's understandable... though now that there is a need for them (me being the only one), it's almost impossible to track them down :/

Do you need just standalone sprites, without animations? If so, some character/growth charts use sprites, you can rip them off those.

You can look up just about any character on https://tamagotchi.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page and you can find a sprite for them! At the bottom of the little green character info box thing, you can view all existing sprites (for the most part anyway). Hope this helped!

After the "Appearances in Virtual Pets" section, there are 3 sprites collected from the 3 different tamagotchis that he's appeared in.
