You can debug some tamas - Connections and Connexions - it varies with the different versions.
Lots of ppl know that it can break your tama as well, but some ppl still want to give it a go.
There are a few web sites around that give you step by step instructions on how to debug.
If you want to try it and don't mind that you could break your tama for good...
Natasja's site (member of TamaTalk & ex-TamaGuide), has a wide variety of information about the different types of Tamagotchis (old & new) - and a section on how to Debug/Tama Surgery! Her site is called Pixelmood
If you open up your tama and you can't see the bits you need to fiddle with to debug your tama, then it's one of the Connexions that you can't debug
