When to use Tama Codes

When do you enter the secret codes. Is it when the Tama is a child or an adult?

You can enter the codes at any time.

It's just that most of the items you get can only be used by Adult characters.

Enter them at any time except u can only use the food right away. THe other one's wait til u're an adult

use codes when it an adult because if you use them too early your tamagotchi won't be able to use them.
