Okay, I'm a pretty good owner, having gotten Mamaetchi on my first Tama, them Mimitchi, then Mametchi again. But I want something different. I can't get Kuchipatchi this generation, so I'm aiming lower and going for Gozarutchi. What's the best way to get one without risking death? I heard letting it's stats empty out works, but I'm afraid that it'll die if I leave hunger empty too long. How long can I leave it empty before it dies (or gets sick)?

Also, while looking around for advice, I heard some pretty nasty rumors about weight and how it can hinder or downright kill a Tamagotchi. Are these true? My Kinakomotchi is 34 pounds (almost putting my once-60-pound Mametchi to shame), so what kind of healt risks am I looking at?

Try leaving it alone for four hours maximum. The hearts empty about every 45 minutes to 1 hour...

There are absolutely no risks at leaving your Tamagotchi overweight. When it's a teen, you can feed it snacks until you can feed no more (the 99-pound mark) and it will have no impact on what adult you'll get. :(
