...Hmm. Seems like I haven't copied anything in a while. Here goes!
A large eruption can be extremely dangerous for people living near volcanoes. Flows of searing lava, reaching up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit or more, can be released, burning everything in its path, including whole towns. Boulders of hardening lava can roll down into villages. Mud flows from rapidly melting snow can strip valleys bare and bury towns. The ash and toxic gases such as sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride, and hydrogen fluoride can cause serious problems and lung cancer to anyone, especially infants and the elderly. Scientists estimate that there have been nearly 260,000 deaths caused by volcano eruptions in the past 300 years. About 50,000,000 people live very near volcanoes. Most of them don’t realize that the earth is alive and working and that an eruption can happen at any time. It’s definitely a good idea to do lots of research before you move into a house near a possibly life threatening volcano!
Oh, yeah. I copied that from a website to help me with an essay about volcanoes I'm writing. Which I should be doing right now. xD
