You picked a great color, congrats!

I am not allowed to buy Tamas for at least a month, maybe 2 after this splurge.

Brand new. Pristine. Holy crud expensive, I also had to renew my apartment lease this month. Pre-spending my winter bonus, basically. Now when will I have time to play them? (Do I even have the courage to open the box?)
woah thats awesome!! I'm almost afraid to think about how much those would cost LMAO really awesome that you got them tho!

My first delve into the world of modern Tamagotchi. Haven't owned anything later than a Connection V3, and mostly play with the classic 90s pets.

This arrived at The Tamagotchi Treasury today. One of the many reissues needed for the website archive.

Not in the mail but I went downc to Romford Smyths and bought these today.

Got these in the last 2 days. The charcoal Mr. Dino cost £140 quid. The blue dinosaur (can someone identify this brand.. I had a yellow variant since 1997 but cannot remember what it was called. I need to know for the Tamagotchi Treasury website) and Pocket Pal were from the same seller. The TS V1 was a private sale with someone on YouTube and the Smart Chick was another seller again, sold as untested with instruction manual. The Smart Chick had a tab stuck under the battery compartment which I removed with a flat head precision screwdriver and it also has one screw missing from the back. The buttons are pretty unresponsive and take patience to use (is there a fix for this?) Other than that he is in good working order. So sad they weren't looked after in life. They have a nice home here at the Treasury though. They all do.

That was the Angel I had my eye on XD The only shell I need still is the blue one and I don't have one with the first wave icons yet :p I was kinda hoping no one would buy it up from JYW before xmas so I could get it when my parents give me money XDDD
there were two available at the time i ordered haha, too bad the other was bought up as well!

Oh man, I love the artwork on some of the competing virtual pets from the 1990s. The bird-related ones are always so damn cute! :biggrin:
Couldn't agree more. And I am ao happy right now also because I just managed to purchase a brand new sealed Gen1 from 1996... the same one I first ever bought. Same design and packaging and everything. I'll post when my new batch of purchases arrive.

These are my two latest arrivals. I have more on their way. The Gen 1 is the exact first one I ever owned in the 90s. Exact. Packaging lacks the plastic around the card but the rest is identical. Since my original one has the numbers rubbed off and the A button is most non responsive this has become display purpose only. My first pet ever... as I remembered buying it. ❤

My Tamakaci arrived today. The latest addition to the Tamagotchi Treasury! Will be added to the web museum soon. Here it is along with all the other arrivals by post from October-December, 2021. The Geb 2 reissue ws bought in Smyths in Romford so he's an exception.

I have the duck version of this! :biggrin: I like them, they feel really well-made. Check the instructions on the back, by the way - there's a badly-censored part (that I can't quote here) that's unintentionally funny due to a truly terrible translation. Even better, it occurs again later and it isn't censored the next time. :lol:

I need to clean up the contacts on mine, since the batteries in it were so old that not only had they leaked badly, but they were also bulging and looked like they were about to burst! :oo I've never seen that with button-cells or coin-cells before.

Hahaha that makes me so curious XD
Basically, there's a swear-word on the packaging that they had some person with a marker manually censoring, but if I'm remembering right the same word is used again in another part of the instructions and they missed that one, thus rendering the extra work pointless.

I do have a photograph of the manually-censored part, without the bit where they left the swearing in;

I remember finding it gut-bustingly funny when I noticed the uncensored word repeated a short distance away - they had one job! :lol: Also, the translation is a legitimately wonderful work of unintentionally-hilarious yet completely literal and correct English.
