I want to redo my room. The walls are boring and white. My carpet is putrid pink that I am not allowed to change. :) But... if I pull some strings, I can probably paint the walls, get new bed sheets, etc. I was thinking pink and yellow. I think that it will be pretty the way the sun streams through the window.

So... any suggestions? What color is your room? What theme is your room? I want to know!

Mine is lime and turquoise. It has a palm tree on the wall also. It's pretty!

I think yellow and pink would be good! Use patterns in that color, too, like polka dots. They make any room fresh and cute. Keep in mind, that if you flip through some magazines with rooms in them they are only display. Even if you order everything in it it will not look like the display room because you have possessions to put in that room. It will look more cluttered. Unless you want to rent a storage vault. But it will look somewhat as nice, although the chances are slim that you can pull enough strings to order the whole catalog.

You don't always need catalogs for room designs, though, I don't mean that. How about pink and lime green? Or pink, yellow, and green? Two shades of pink are cute, too, but if you don't like all that pink, do pink and purple. If you aren't that type, try lime, bright yellow, and orange. If you like lots of colors, try bright pink, orange, lime, and turquoise. Even add some yellow if you would like, but that is totally optional. Try every color of the rainbow, but remember to keep your colors bright and all the objects of the same general color match pretty well. This is rather hard to do, pull a room with all colors together, because if you have too little color or many different shades it could end up looking sloppy. So I wouldn't really do this.

Lighter pastels look sweet and fluffy. Brighter colors look bold and fresh. Choose an option.

Find a theme you like, and go for it. If it's hard to find, like if you want a Warriors themed room for example, it may be hard to find. So go with something more general, like cats. Not hard. And your room doesn't even have to have a theme, you can stick with the colors above. Just colors are cool.

I recently painted a wall in my room turqouise. The rest is plain white. Oh! And I painted my bathroom turquoise too! With black polka-dots ^^

I don't really have a theme. It just has various objects in places. But not too random that it looks weird.

Have fun re-doing your room. Follow TamaXTREAM's advice.

I want my room color to

be green or like lime green.

my bed sheets are like kinda

like lime green with purple

and blue flowers.I like green

any kind of green.thats why i want

my room to be green.also cause

of the bedsheets,and other stuff

in my room.

I was going to go with the "light and airy" feel and use a light yellow for my wall color, but I am a bold person. I am going to use a darker yellow---like sunshine. Not to bright like florecent, and not mustard dark.

And thanks to everyone for all the help so far. Hopefully more is to come! I like hearing for TTers.

As for working around my parents... well, they aren't thrilled and as pumped about this as I am. I told them that since my b-day is in September, this could be an early birthday present. That tactic seems to be helping.

Mine right now is white.

I'm changing it to either "Blue Balloon" or "Piglet Pink"

My room has white walls and tan carpet. I want to redo my room too, but I live in apartments, and it's not allowed. They say it'd gotta stay 'White walled with the same tan carpets.' D= But I think we're getting a house pretty soon, so I'll be able to choose what I want for my room. =D
