I know! that's what i was thinking! Also that thing about free speech, If I, for example, went out into the streets and announced that I'm now racist/against black people or something like that I would probably be put in jail, or shot by some random person. So much for free speech. Ooooooooo, i could do that then when I'm put in jail I'll sue the government and in court I'll pull out a copy of the constitution and claim that I have free speech and cannot be jailed. Ha. I asked my dad about that and he said that I could say that but I wouldn't be jailed because that's really the only thing the constitution says and i'll still probably get shot or beaten or something. but since i'm a kid no one would pay attention to me anyway. I think there should be a law to protect people from getting bashed verbally or physically because of their opinions. Actually there is a law against the physical bashing and to an extend the verbal one too. And yet i am still verbally beaten. tsk tsk. Anyway I've decided I'm mixed liberal and Conservative.

No one stops you being racist. It's certainly looked down upon, but I really doubt that you'd be jailed or shot. Anyways, I do get your point, although I don't exactly agree. For example, if you scream "Fire!" in a crowded movie theater, you'd basically be endangering the public's wellbeing. That's almost a crime, by the way. And of course, conspiring to kill the president is also a no-no.

You do get the right to express any ideas or opinions, though. I hope you understand that people in North Korea don't have that right.

(And, by the way, being insulted is not being "verbally beaten". That's just a gross exaggeration.)
