Play games. Connect often. Feed a lot. Buy things at the shop for it. Give it more attention.

TAFFYJUNE

It's normal babys lose happy hearts all the time.

99lbs?!?! No wonder it keeps on dying an adult should be 30-40lbs
Keep your son's tama the perfect weight heres a guide to tama weights!

Babys 1-15lbs

Tots 10-20lbs

Teens 15-45lbs (It's okay to overfeed your teen but just a bit!)

Adults 20-40lbs

Hope I helped!

You can download copies of the original instruction sheets from Bandai, here:

For Connection Ver.1: https://www.bandai.com/faq/pdfs/tama_v1.pdf

For Connection Ver.2: https://www.bandai.com/faq/pdfs/tama_v2.pdf

For Connection Ver.3: https://www.bandai.com/faq/pdfs/tama_v3.pdf

Here's how to tell which version Tamagotchi Connection/Connexion you have:

Step 1: look at the back. If it doesn't have "BANDAI" molded into the plastic it's not a real Tamagotchi, so it isn't a Ver.1 nor Ver.2 nor Ver.3.

Step 2: V3 has an antenna bump built into the casework. It looks sort of like a cell phone antenna bump. You can see it here: https://www.tamatalk.com/IB/index.php?act=p...id=1846&count=y If yours doesn't have this antenna bump, it's probably a V1 or V2.

Step 3: V2 and V1 have different games. Go into the Game menu. Version 2 has four games: Jump, Bump, Heading, and Slot. Version 1 has two games: Dance and Jump.

snacks are unhealthy but they raise the happy points of a tama up. food are good and raises the hungry points up.as you said, it just hatched so it is a baby and babies need more attention than any other. the baby will poop constantly and its hungry and happy points will go down constantly too. you have to feed it when its hungry points are down and you have to play with it or feed it snacks when its happy points are down.

I also have a baby, I've had for about a half hour. I've tended to it perfectly, but now it hasn't been asking for anything for a while, which is pretty strange.

foods and snacks, well if u can browse through foods then its a v3 and i can answer your question.

once u can take care of a tam with ease its a little fun to test stuff out. ex: what if in my tamas life i ONLY fed it sushi? and for snack i wouldnt know.. but only sushi as meals?

thats all i see fit in the foods... if i dont have a v3 according to binarys instructions then ignore my statement...

the hungry and happy thing being a lot to take care of? its a baby maybe a toddler by now so its hard to take care of :puroperatchi: it will be easier nearing the adult stage.

the baby stage lasts only one hour and it's the most needy of all stages: the happiness and hunger hearts go down quickly. at this stage you can give it snacks instead of playing games whenever you want to increase the happiness hearts, i've found out that giving snacks when the tama is in its baby stage does not affect the tama's growth. Playing games will decrease the tama's weight, which is good.

Furthermore, mum2many, are you sure that your son's tama is dying? I had a friend who kept resetting his tama whenever it got sick ( when the small skull appears on the right side of the screen) because he thought that it was dying!! but obviously it wasn't dying it was just sick. When your tama gets sick just scroll to the health icon (looks like a small suitcase with a cross on it) and press the B button until it gets better.
