Guys please help me!!! I own a tamagotchi friends (the pink polka dot one) and i want to protect the white polka dots since they scratch off easily. Please tell me how. :D :rolleyes:

There's not really much you can do to protect it I guess, as the paint's quality is so cheap on the Friends series.

One way I'd recommend would be to try not and touch the paint. On Color models with weak paint (such as the iD L), I try not to touch the rim or the decal. It seems to work and whenever I want to carry it around, I use a pouch to prevent it from bumping around.

Another way I saw that was recommended was to use gloves. It's a bit weird but it works because the oil and dirt on your hands don't actually touch the paint and it doesn't wear down as quickly. This way isn't really recommended as it's pretty annoying to need gloves to have use a Tamagotchi, but it works!

When carrying it, in bags and such, I'd suggest covering it with something. You could always put it in a sock in that case (works great as a carrier).

For general usage, the only thing I can recommend is to be very careful with it.

If you're dead set on keeping those polka dots on there, try very carefully painting over the shell with clear nail polish. Don't brush too hard or fast because that might scrub the paint off. If you don't want to cover the whole thing in nail polish,just go over the problem areas or only the dots themselves. Also follow the tips above. Even if you didn't have a paint problem, taking care of your tama and any electronics is good form! Getting a case or pouch is a good tip in general.

I wouldn't really recommend this at all, unfortunately... Nail polish isn't meant to be left on long term. After a while, it discolors leaving a yellowish tint to the clear nail polish. If you want to get it off as well, you have to destroy the design in order to remove it. The plastic will most likely end up completely destroyed as well, I've done this to my V1 a while back and the shell is in horrific condition. ;-;

Put your tama in a ziploc baggie. You can still play it, and the oils and salts from your skin won't affect the paint. I do this often.
