Weird animation?!

Twice today I've seen an odd animation on my V4.5. An egg with a star on it will appear on the screen and my tama will just watch it. A few seconds later the egg hatches and this little black blobby thing peeks its head out!!

What on earth does this mean? Does my tama want to have a baby?!
