Fishing Pole:
I have found that if you use your fishing pole once, and come up with nothing, then keep using it. Once your Tama goes to sleep the fishing pole disappears from your items.
Keep using the fishing pole until you either get some points or a giant fish. Then it will automatically disappear from your item's list.
