tamadude, I don't mean to be rude, but could you stop overusing the smilies? It's rather annoying. And 20+ posts in, like, 20 minutes is a little crazy. Slow down on the topics and posts, and cut down on the smilies.

I think you guys all need to read the topic What Is SPAM?

Did you all know that backseat moderating is a type of SPAM too???

Type 2B - Backseat Moderator Posts

Occasionally, we have members who see a type 2A (offtopic and irrelevant) post and are then compelled to post something like:

This is SPAM!

Please don't SPAM!

Reported! SPAM is not allowed

The reasons why these type of posts are also SPAM are as follows:

1. They aren't related to the topic being discussed

2. They encourage other members do the same and cause the thread to deviate further off topic

3. A serial SPAMmer is looking for a reaction and by making posts such as that.. well congratulations.. you've given them just what they were looking for!

4. An uninentional SPAMmer is not going to come back to that thread to look at who responded specifically to their post and therefore serves no teaching purpose.

5. Guides do not have an automatic sensor that can detect when someone posts "this is SPAM" to clean it up

6. When a Guide has to clean up, this backseat moderating post also has to go thereby creating more work for the Guide!

Most of you posting here really did not help the situation... this thread went for two pages instead of being limited to half a page at most. Why didn't any of you hit the report button?

Please, we are not psychic, we need to tell us what is happening or we cannot fix it!!

Now for those of you here who also threw a fit because "yet another person asked"... remember that you are free to exercise free will and not read the thread...let alone reply. Noone is forcing you to be here and read what you don't want to.. so please don't make the lives of others unpleasant!
