Hello there fellow tama care takers, I was wondering what I should get as a coming up birthday present for myself, another uratama or a v4.5? They both have their pros and cons but I might end up getting both so my question is which do you prefer or what are your pros and cons between the two?

I'd say V4.5.

Version 4.5 has more games. 5 or 6 I think, and they're really fun. Plus it's easier to buy stuff on the V4.5; it actually has a shop, but the UraTama only has a vendor who comes at certain times. And finally, school and work on the V4.5 involve games for you to play but the UraTama doen't.

Both the V4.5 and Uratama are great versions - similar characters, but otherwise remarkably different in gameplay. As EMF has said, the V4.5 has more games and is more interactive in terms of school, jobs, and the shop. On the flip side, the Uratama has cool items, secret characters, cooking, and a robot butler which is great for busy people. The Uratama also evolves at about half the rate of the V4.5, which for some people makes this version slow & boring, and for others allows a better caretaking experience.

I can't decide which I like more. They are both, in my opinion, some of the best Connection era releases. If you've got an Uratama already, perhaps go for the V4.5? The V4.5 really is a standout in the Connection line. Let us know what you think & decide! ^_^

Well I've deiced on getting the V4.5 because I found that pc bundle with it cheap on ebay! You two do have good points about the two tamas and it would be nice owning a 4.5 again. On a side note I remember back in 2010 I saw some being sold for cheap at a Gordmans out of all the places and I remember getting one to test out the debug feature but alas the sound wire broke and other parts to it during the test and my careless actions. -_-

Oh no  I haven't tried to debug the 4.5 because of permanent hyperspeed until it's debugged... but I do remember trying to debug a V3 when I was young, stripping all the inner screws in the process, only to realise it was an Asia Pacific V3 so didn't even have the debug circle to begin with

The V4.5 PC bundle sounds great! The earth design is a very nice one. All the best!
