At my school, we're having uniforms next year. Here's what we have to wear:

A solid polo shirt, school colors or white. If there's a logo, it has to be 2 inches or smaller.

Khaki or dark blue shorts, capris, skirts, or pants that have to be at or below our knees. No cargo pockets.

If they can't see our front pockets, we must tuck our shirts in.

If we wear leggings, they must be black, gray, or white.

We can wear solid sweatshirts over our polo shirts. They have to be school colors or white. No words can be on the sweatshirts. They can't have hoods. Our collars have to show through the neck.

We can't wear Crocs, sandals, open toed, backless, or heely shoes.

We can't wear keys around our necks and we can't carry bags or purses around with us.

No hats, scarves, bandanas, or jackets.

No chains or large medallions.

No Mohawks, spiked hair, or unnatural colored hair like pink and green.

This is so strict. I'm not gonna be able to go through next year. Please help.

Well, I don't know what to say only that you gotta suck up and try to manage with wearing uniforms.

I wouldn't recommend switching school, too much work.

Hope for the best~

I would like to wear Uniforms. But the hair thing is Unfair with the Keys and Cargo Pants rule.

Yeah and like That Uniform color code thing is Unfair, I used to wear Uniforms. They were Allowed to be any color. Um........ My parents made me, but the school Allowed regular clothes.

Meh, cant argue with the school code <.< Try to be creative atleast. Or get a parent to sign a Form saying you can wear any clothes you want (Thats what some Local Middle School does) Then they might let you.

Well make the uniforms your own style and stuff like that. School rules never tell you to not be yourself. =]

Oh my god... that's so strict! No purses? Man your school sucks. At my high school we're allowed to wear anything that doesn't interfere with dress code, which isn't that strict. No words on the sweatshirts? No hoods? No backpacks? No mohawks? I'm glad I don't go there. If my school had uniforms, I'd switch. I want to go to Newman Smith anyway, not Creekview. But I want white boys, not black or mexican boys, UNLESS they accually look good. I love white boys and Newman Smith has only blacks and mexicans mainly because it's in a ghetto neighborhood.

Personally I like uniforms. : ) Uniforms are awesome and honestly, Im tired of seeing other girls bazonga's around my school.

 There are more pro's than con's on uniforms.

oh uniforms that happend at me at my old school they had black dull uniforms so i styled it up but i got in trouble  so me anna, lake, nicole, maria, bethany and me did not like em we went and told the prineapal about this he said "I dident come up with this" it was Mrs.zackmen she said "ALL OF YOU DENTION!!!!!!!!" and i got suspend from there for good i like my new school better!!!!!!!!!!

Man your school sucks.
I don't know it that's making her feel any better, but there are ways that you can add your ownn style to boring old uniforms.

Try accessories, headbands, and cute hairstyles to add your own personal flair.

But either from that, there's nothing else that you can do but deal with it.

And at least your whole school is in the same boat. Nobody likes to be alone.

I tottaly agree with you! The popular people (the stuck up ones) always make fun of what you wear if it is not in style. Although what's unfair is the sweatshirts. Depending of how many years left you have in that school I have to say just go and live through the year. I have no good advice that will help you...sorry. Maybe you will like it or get used to it.

Thanks for the advice, guys. Yeah, I don't think we can bring in notes so we won't have to wear uniforms.

My school has always had a uniform, and so did my primary school. I didn't mind at all though. And the rules for the uniforms at my current school are a lot more strict than yours, e.g. we are only allowed to wear black things in our hair, and they have to be completely black. I had one with small white dots on it and the teacher told me to take it off. We even have to wear school socks, which are a bit expensive for something you just wear on your feet. But at least we can have any bag we want if we're in year nine or ten (as long as it's black). The kids in year seven and eight have to have the school bag bought at the school uniform shop. It's really big and bulky (I had one in year seven and eight) and some of the bags are almost as big as the kid who has to carry them around. Everything we wear for school (except for scarves, stockings **but they both have to be black**, and bags **also have to be black** for people in year nine and ten) has to be bought from the school uniform shop. But I still don't mind my school uniform. We sometimes have 'mufti days' at school where we can wear anything we want. I actually like having a uniform too, so I don't have to wash my regular clothes as much. You're lucky that the rules for the uniform at your school aren't really that strict. =)

I personaly like them, because you don't have to worry about clothes everyday.

And when there are mufti's, its good to pick put your favourite clothes and do your hair in whatever way. xD.

My school is also pretty stricked.. I mean, we can't even wear our socks up.

Like, they always have to be rolled down which looks kinda.. werid.

xD So everyone wears them up, but every teacher tells us to wear them down.

Also apperently, if guys have gell in there hair (Like, heaps and heaps and heaps) they actually have to go to the bathrooms and get rid of it. o.o

Rules do blow.. but its fun not following them. xD.

Okay don't take that advise because I don't want anyone getting in trouble because of me xD.

I think its okay to bend the rules a bit, but not the the extreame.

At my school we'e alwas had uniforms, but we sometimes get to wear our own clothes, like on trips and things. I say deal with it and you'll get used to it. Uniforms aren't fair because school's always saying, "Be yourself!" then uniforms are like "Be everyone else, stay the same!"
