How old are you?

If you are in your teen years, that is completely normal.

Your body produces a hormone that helps you sleep, and it is most active while it is dark. That's why most of us prefer to sleep in darkness

During your teen years, the production of that 'darkness hormone' decreases rapidly as you become physically more mature, causing delays of sleeping pattern in your circadian cycle (body-clock) That is why many teenagers find it hard to get to sleep early in the night and get up early in the morning. Research has shown that teenagers need to be sleeping and waking up later due to that physical change. There have even been requests for later starting times for schools.

You might automatically start going back to your school sleep routine like I'm doing.

Today I woke up at 8 AM!

Be sure to get an alarm clock. If you sleep through it like I do, have a parent or sibling wake you up.

Also, at night, start reading your brain out. That will tire you like it tires me.

Good luck!

i'm moving to the fourth grade...

cecib :D

Try to do more active things.

Play outside for a few hours.

Be active.

I've got the same problem Dx

You can't just force yourself to sleep.

Wake yourself up very early in the morning and see if you can sleep the next night.

Set an alarm for 7 no matter what time you fall asleep. Make sure it's loud and nearby so that it wakes you up. Don't fall back asleep and trust me, you'll go to bed earlier if you do that.

Well I would force my self to go to bed like I would go to bed even if I wasn't tired or I would take a bath first then go to bed ( that's what I normally do anyway lol and I still fall asleep even if I'm hyper all the time XD ) that or try to go to the bathroom before you go to bed I do that and end up knocked out for the night after. O_O LOL!!

I have a suggestion, but it'll royally kick your butt.

Keep trying what you have been, and if it still doesn't work, by the time school comes, still go to bed at 2am. Get up at 7am and go to school. You'll be tired, but by the time you get home you'll be tired enough to fall asleep. It may take a few days to get used to the new sleep schedule, but it does work. I've actually done it a few times myself.

It's a pain and probably not the healthiest idea, but I promise you it works.

When I can't sleep I exersize till I feel like I'm gonna die, Than just lay in bed. I fall asleep fast,Or I do teh second thing you posted, Wake up early and stay awake till your tired early at night.

But Do.Not.Take,Sleeping.Pills!

Of you keep taking them than you wont be able to sleep on your own later, And My Grandmas friend who took them felt very drowzy during the day and he fell twice, The second one made him die.
:p Oh goodness.

I was gonna say take sleeping pills

Now I'll just have to agree with Sweet Kandi I guess.

If you just keep getting up at 7, your body will eventually get tired and you'll be able to go to sleep.

Chances are was his dose was too high.

I've been taking sleeping pills on and off for nearly 4 years now and have never had any problem like that.

My only problem with sleeping pills is that there is a chance of dependancy.
Yeah. They're more a last resort type of thing. I was addicted to them for quite a while, now it's just a, 'when I really need it' thing. Mainly if I stay the night somewhere besides my own house/bed.

Ahhh...I had that problem this Summer.

I'd go to bed at about 4:00 AM each night and wake up at 1:00 PM...

What I did was go walking for a couple of hours at about 7:00.

Well, that fixed my schedule because I was so tired out when I got home and I

eventually got used to going to bed at an earlier time. That didn't last long, though. I

started staying up al night again because I wanted to. :) Well, I think you should just do some things that'll keep you active outside during the day or something...

I fixed the second time with a sleeping pill...

i have a couple ideas and they work all the time with me.

•Do alot (ex. bike a 0.5 miles, run all day at recess-if u have recess-)

•Watch tv or be on the computer or at around 10pm leave ur light on then the light will start tiring ur eyes and u'll fall asleep.

•Have an alarm clock ready for 6:50am. (Tip- I set mine to 6:30 last year and my clock is 10 mins fast so i wake up at 6:20am and i feel so refreshed if i go to bed early and eat a healthy breakfast.)

you might have insomnia

It's not really insomnia if she can fall asleep at 4am.

It's just a shifted sleep schedule.

Second tip is not a good idea; your body needs the room to be dim for it to start the manufacture of melatonin, which is the chemical that is neccessary for sleep.

Some anti-hystermin tablets like Zyrtec make you tired..or one thing that gets me to sleep is the sound of rain! But you probably can't hear it..i can hear it at my flat big time because it bangs in the rainpipes softly. It puts me to sleep.
