The Kidnapping

One hot afternoon, a thirteen year old, Ashley, was taking a walk around her neighbor hood. She felt weird like someone was following her. She kept looking behind her but she only saw trees and flowers...no one else was outside...or so she thought...

Ashley once again looked back and saw somebody duck behind a tree. Her heart beat faster. She started to do a slow jog. She looked back again and saw somebody peering at her from behind a tree. Ashley, now very frightend, ran and ran to the parkwhere tons of other people were. She thought she was safe....or was she....

She saw her best friend, Chris(a guy), who she liked, and ran to him. She said,"Chris!!!I think I'm being followed!!!" Chris said,"Are you sure?I will walk you home.Is your mom home?" "No" AShley replied. "Okay" Chris said,"Come to my place." (Chris like Ashley too but they didn't tell each other) Chris and Ashley were walking to Chris's house and Ashley saw someone sitting on a bench and staring at them...

"I think that's the one following me." Ashley whispered and mentioned towards the man sitting on the bench. Chris looked then said, "You sure?" Ashley nodded. "I'm pretty sure. I'm almost positive he wa sthe one hiding from my view by ducking behind trees. Now he's staring at me!" she cried. Chris grabbed her hand and pulled her down the street. "We must go to my house. You might not be safe anywhere else." They arrive at Chri's house. He opens the door with a key and hurries Ashley in. He locks the door behind them. "We'll be safe here." Chris said breathlessly. Ashley wasn't so sure...

Ashley asked if all the windows were locked. Chris said I think so. She sat on the sofa and looked out the window...what was that behind the heighbors fence?

Ashley screamed. Ashley had saw the same man that had watched her at the park ducking behind Chris's neighbours fence. "Chris, we are NOT safe here! We better contact the police!" Ashley cried. Chris shook his head. "Our phone's broken." he said sadly. Ashley seemed terrified. Suddenly, somebody kicked down the door.

Ashley screamed louder now! It was Chris's brother, Max. Max said Hey why are you screaming??? Max said the door was locked so he knocked it down. Ashley looked out the window and she didn't see the man behind the fence anymore.Lets go to my room Chris said.We havea great view from my window of the neighbor hood. (Ashley lived two house down from Chris, by the way.)

Ashley nodded, still scared. Chris and Ashley went to Chri's room. Ashley couldn't help but stare out the window. "I..I'm so afraid." she said, turning to Chris. Chris nodded. "I know. But don't worry...we won't let anything happen to you." Sadly, Ashley wasn't looking out the window when that same strange man came creeping down teh street towards Chri's house....

They looked around, but to there surprise saw nothing but a leaf fall from a tree near by, then all of a sudden....

CRASH!!! A rock was thrown in the window.The rock had a note on it. Ashley ead the Note out loud:

You better watch out Ashley!!! Lock the doors and windows!

Ashley screamed louder then ever!

How does he know my name Ashley said.

Did you ever see that man before asked Chris??? No she said, then all of a sudden they head a cry down stairs...

Ashley had turned whiter then a ghost. Chris looked scared too. "MAX! LOCK ALL THE DOORS AND WINDOWS!" he yelled to his brother. Max said, "Okay!" Chris turne dto Ashley. "We must hide." Chris drags Ashley to the dusty old attic and leads her to the back. Chris made sure the attic window was locked. He hid under a pile of clothes and Ashley hid in a closet.

No I didn't. Chris was starting to walk downstairs...Ashley screamed NO DON'T LEAVE ME!!!! Max went downstairs instead...Ma was 17 so he knew how to drive...

Ashley felt ill. She had never before been so scared. Suddenly, another rock was thrown through the attic window. It said, "I'm coming"

Ashley screamed. Chris turned to her. He read the note and said, "Uh oh....we aren't safe here."

Chris had a trampalene under the window.Chris had an idea! Max yelled HE IS IN THE HOUSE. Chris told his idea to Ashley. They both jumped out the window onto the trampoline hand in hand screaming... They ran to Max's car. The doors were locked.Even though Chris is 13 he knows how to drive. There was no police station close to where they lived. They ran two blocks not sure if the guy was folloing them and entered the MAll.

Ashley held Chri's hand tightly as they wandered through the mall.

The went into a cd shop and they were looking at cds when Chris noticed this guy following them at a distance. The guy kept going in the aisels they went into.

A different shop right next to the CD shop, Chris and Ashley both saw him there and dessided to make a run for it! They quickly started walking, but BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, the store alarm whent off, and Chris noticed that he held a CD in his right hand!.....

Chris threw the CD on the floor and him and Ashley ran for it...they went up an escalater...and Chris stopped and said to Ashley,"If we don't make it out of here I want you to know that I have like you sice Kindergarden when we first met." Ashley's head was singing halalouya...

Finallly she told him me too you where my best friend scence like ever, I love you Ch..... All of a sudden the escalater stopped and....
