Is the p1 a different versions?

Yes, a P1 is a different version than the V1. To put it simply, a P1 is a vintage/ancestor/first-wave Tamagotchi, one of the ones released in the late '90s. It does not have infrared capabilities like the Connections do.

The second image labeled P2 is actually a V1.

P1/P2 are Both original versions of tamagotchi. These are the smaller versions released in 96-97.

V1 and up are bigger then the P1/P2 versions. These all have a infared to connect between other owner's tamagotchi connections. Which the original do not... The keychains are on the sides unlike the p1/p2s are up on top of the shell.

V1s are a little harder to find these days, especially new-in-package, and when you do find them, they tend to be a bit pricey.
