So I'm currently bidding on a Morino via ebay, and I've been doing my research on them so I'm not completely lost when I get it.

One thing is confusing me though. The "temperature"...forgive me if this sounds completely idiotic, but is this some sort of manual control, or does it literally have a thermometer of some sort?

The temperature option appears at the Cocoon stage. You can get different characters depending on the temperature. If it's cold, you could get these characters and if the temperature's hot, you could get these characters. After the Cocoon stage, the temperature will disappear.

But take note, if the Cocoon is too hot or too cold, your pet could die so you should check and change the temperature on a regular basis.

No, it doesn't have an actual thermometer ;) You control it manually.

It is a strange concept, but yes, as other members have said, there is a thermometer.

When your bug is in the first and second stages in its life, gameplay is normal. Instead of having a teen stage, it is a cocoon for 24 hours. During that stage, the only option on the Morino is to change the temperature to either hot or cold, as indicated by an arrow.

After your bug emerges, gameplay will resume as normal!

Okay, thanks for clearing that up! It sounds like an interesting Tama to raise, I can't wait! :D

Ooh, another quick question...do Angels and Morinos have generations like Connections do? Is there some sort of matchmaker for them, or do you raise one until it dies and then start another?

There are no generations or a matchmaker in both the morino and angel, you just take care of them until they bid you farewell I've heard of an angel living up to about 18 days, and the longest I've had my morino live is about 9 days, that may vary from character... I think the horn beetle character (you get him by choosing he speckled egg) my have lived past that...
