Hey, everyone. I JUST ordered a solid blue tamagotchi umino (obiously japanese) off of ebay. I got it for a very low price and it's in MINT condition.

Anyways, my question is as follow:

1. does anyone have any pictures of the secret characters? Any at all?

2. why exactly did they make the ocean so much harder than other types?

3. oh, and I went on this ocean fan site and it showed all of the japanese colors "supposedly" but it didn't show the all blue one I ordered, could it be a fake? Or maybe more rare? You tell me.

Generally, Umino's aren't fake. A general tamagotchi may be faked, but specific tams usually aren't. The colors for Japanese Oceans are See-thru Purple, See-thru Red (sometimes looks orange-ish), Solid light Blue, and Clear with waves.

They are difficult, but I'm betting that they're more difficult than Bandi initially meant for them to be. It's my favorite tam, but I can't talk myself into starting back up my Ocean quite yet. It's a lot of work.

As far as the secret character goes (there's only one), I've seen a picture, not sure where, but she's a mermaid.

Congrats on your purchase. Like I said, it's my favorite tam, it's just a ton of work!

Here's a great link for Ocean info.

Congrats, and yes they are a lot of work. I've had mine (an American one), since they first came out (it's 11 years old), and I've only had it running a few times.
