And what are the different character things that you put at the top?

They are slowly being released in stores, probably in all of the major toy stores and other big-name chains (WalMart, KMart, etc.). LOL, yes, the Tama-Go is just a bigger Tamagotchi, unfortunately. At least to me it is. It's not even in color! I heard it's a cross between the Tamagotchi Plus Color (or TMGC+C) and the Music Star. Here is some more information:

https://www.engadget.com/2010/02/15/tamagot...amount-of-atte/

https://www.bandai.com/blog/news/tamatown-by-tamagotchi-2010

The attachable figurines (apparently there are tons of them that are going to be released) are the "software" and come pre-loaded with a few features and their own games, which explains why there are these figurines and why the Tama-Go is bigger. Each figurine is about $7.

Sigh. Remember those days when a Tamagotchi was just a Tamagotchi, fit into pockets, and they only cost about $10-15? ^_^

Hahahahah I miss the smaller tamagotchis

This is gonna be a pain to carry around x_x

So does this mean that if you dont go and buy the seperate character models you can't play the tamagotchi?

And it doesnt bother me that it's 20 bucks. i mean its only 5 more dollars

i dont like how each character is 7 dollars. that seems too expensive.

i think you should get like 2 characters for 7 dollars

It can be played without the figurines. The Tama-Go does come with a figurine in the box though.

I think that the price of the figurines is fair enough because it contains 2 games to play on the tamagotchi, as well as unlock other things on the tamagotchi itself as well as on tama-town.

I do think it's rather big. I think that they could have made them a bit smaller from seeing the inside of it on binary's log, but hey, I'm not gonna complain.

~shawdy~ ^_^

P.S. - I just read THIS TOPIC that BANDAI states that Tama-Go will be available in Toys R Us, Kmart, Target and Wal-Mart nationwide.

Yay :( I'm glad that you can still play it without the figurine n_n

Even with all that I think that 7 dollars is a bit much

I think 5 would be good (i know it doesnt seem like a big difference but to us people who have a hard time getting money 2 dollars means the world)

The only thing that I don't like about the size is that it won't be able to fit in a pocket

Other than that I'm completely fine with it n_n

True, true. The figurines are an added (maybe unnecessary) bonus. $7 is a bit much for those little things but you have to keep in mind that there are people out there who will spend money on a ton of these things. They're collectable. More money for Bandai. Plus, they're loaded with software, they're not just little pieces of plastic. Yeah, I don't like the size either. I JUST warmed up to the idea of the TMGC+C and that's because it's in color and TamaTown is pretty much embedded rather than having to go online. Also, don't like the new name. Tama-Go. Sheesh, I must sound like a broken record. :p

its a bag.... i think its a rong link... >3>

It wasn't the wrong link, I checked. :) It's because the Tama-Go became sold out (or out of stock) within a matter of hours, that's why they aren't there anymore and only the bag is shown.

is this considered as the v7?
Hmmmm, I wanna say I don't think so. It's under a new name, for one thing, and it's not like the "regular" V3/V4/V4.5/etc. out there, in terms of size, shape, features, and such.

I seriously hope they get more in. I'm really starting to want one. D:

Otherwise, the most I can hope for is that Wal-Mart gets some in stock.

They will. I'm pretty sure things won't be as crazy once the initial phase dies down. :)

I assume some of the eBayers are also trying to get their hands on some to sell, even though I haven't seen one on eBay yet. It's possible. xD

Oh yeah, most definitely. I haven't seen any either but it's only a matter of time. I'm gonna try and check some of the toy stores out here this weekend and see if I can find anything.

Let us know if you find any. :D

No sightings yet here in California (went to Wal-Mart yesterday) but I've heard that they're out in stores in Madison, WI. Will keep checking.
