On my Tamagotchi Life app I had the toddler at age 1 and 75% of discipline, but when it evolved it said age 4 and the discipline was gone? 0.o

I think the discipline always resets when your tama ages up. If it's aging really fast, try deleting it and redownloading it to your phone.
