Tamagotchi Smart - how to get sma-card characters?

Hallo,

Currently on my 4th gen on the smart.
I really love it!
However, I can't seem to get characters from my sma-card.
I have the rainbow friends one downloaded. I can get the food and interior stuff just fine.
But it will not evolve in a sma-card character.
For instance, if I wanted unipegatchi it says I should Feed Pastel Chiffon snack 3 times.
But when? As a baby/toddler/teen/adult?
I don't understand.

Any help or advice would be very nice.

I think you can get the the card characters when your tamagotchi evolve into the adult stage.

You need to make sure the feeding is done during the teen stage, as that's ultimately the only one that has any impact on the final outcome.

It did not work

I fed it the cake 6 times though..
3x during toddler and te be sure 3x during teen stage.

So maybe I did that wrong.
