Tamagotchi ON batteries are impossible to remove!

This tamagotchi ON has had these dead batteries stuck inside of it ever since 2021! I tried to get them out using fingernails, screwdrivers, etc... but they don't budge! Any tips, tricks, or advice?

try pushing them towards the spring end to compress it so u can get a better hold of the other end to lift
