tamagotchi ID L screen turns white

just bought tamagotchi ID L princess on ebay, working fine for 1 day. next day the screen suddenly turns white. i can still see the background, the pet is still moving etc, just that there is a layer of white colour over the whole screen. may i know what is wrong?

tried reset, replace batteries, still not sovling it

Like a glow on the tama? Or more like the whole screen?

Could your backlight be set higher...? Or your color luminosity?

Just random ideas... Not too sure what could be wrong.

I like the Backlight idea - I think you should try that first. I never really owned an ID L, but if you can reset it - then reset it and see what happens.

the whole screen is white, i have to tilt it abt 70 degrees horizontally and i could see some of the background, the whole thing is still playable. just pure whitescreen if i look from the top directly. how to change or reset backlight? because it happen while i was jus holding on to it suddenly. i pressed the reset button behind and its still whitescreen.

Go to your tama's clock screen, then press both B and C buttons at the same time.

You should see the brightness setting. Use A to lower and B to increase. See if it works.

yup, i adjusted max low and max high, no change to the screen, still all white =(

That might be a display defect Did you buy it brand-new or used?

its brand new, bought from ebay, opened from the cover. =( anyway to repair it? it was working fine for 1 day. and suddenly become like this.

Did you buy it just recently? If so, you can contact your seller and ask if you could sent it back to them for a replacement.

yup bought it recently, i was furious and i left a negative feedback. he then said cos i left negative feedback, he refuses to replace it. i replied an apology saying i will remove the feedback if he send a revision feedback., still no reply from him.

will i be able to report him and get a refund from him/ebay or something? it cost me 100usd..

You should have contacted the seller first before leaving a negative feedback. The seller apparently is not aware that the unit you got is defective so it's much better if you would contact them first before leaving any negative feedback.

nope never drop. im new in ebay shopping, yeap, thats why i apologised to him already, he can still send a feedback revision. but he is not giving me any reply already. mayb i should report him now no?

I think you can actually "withdraw" a negative feedback and let them know.

Apparently you've made the seller a bit upset so give them time.

yup, made a report and seller agreed for a full refund. wont be getting it from him again, now gotta wait weeks to get a new 1 lol

Good, but next time don't immediately file a negative report when something goes wrong. Let the seller know what happened and work things out first with them.
