I noticed this on my tama because he sits beside my bed at night and one morning when I woke up I heard it. When I listen I hear the soft beep, beep, beep and when I push the middle button as the screen is changing to the clock the beeping turns into one long one until the clock is there.

This happened to me too. The rhythmic beep beep beep is fine. But if it HUMS, like in one continuous beep, then its a defect. This drained the battery in one week for me. I was so upset because I thought I would have to use up 52 batteries a year just to play with my Tama. XD
