Tamagotchi Friends Won't Turn On

I just recently re-discovered my Tamagotchi Friends and I replaced the batteries, removed corrosion, and pressed the reset button.. It still won't turn on. How can I fix this? Thanks!

I have learned that with the tamagotchi friends if they havent had any batteries in them for a long time it takes a couple minutes for them to come to life when you put batteries in. It happened with one of my sisters dream town and we thought all the batteries were dead or it was broken but no it just took a minute to suck up the juice and turn on
