tamagotchi family iro iro (familitchi V5) connection option

Not a new user but this is bugging me and I can't find anything about it.

I have a Japanese Family Iro Iro and a EU Familitchi (V5) and they are the same except for the language. There is one thing different, when you go to the connect icon there are the options V5, Special and PC. I get what they all do but on my japanese model there is a 4th option and if I press it the tama wants to connect to something using the infrared.

Does anyone know what this option is for? It's killing me to not know
