Tamagotchi angel screen problems! please help

I just got a tamagotchi angel and it seems to be missing a whole row of pixels so part of the tamagotchi seems to be missing. Is this because the contacts are dirty in the battery section or is it because the tamagotchi is broken? Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this, kinda stinks it is missing a whole vertical row of pixels.

My best guess is that it's just broken.

I doubt you'd be able to fix it, sorry.

It wouldn't be battery contacts that are dirty. The screen contacts may be dirty. Unfortunately, any attempt to fix it may make it worse. If it was recently bought from a seller off ebay, I would negotiate a return (or exchange if possible.)

I did just get it from ebay and currently trying to see what sort of refund they can do. Wanted to see if there was anything that could be done first, but more than likely I will just sit and wait for a reply.

I have a Digimon from 1997 with the same problem. Unless you are exceptionally skilled with electronics, do not try to fix it, or you'll only make it worse. After awhile I just got used to it.
