"No I'm not going to marry her!" Jared said, responding to the voices in his head.

Alex tilted her head. "Huh?"

"Oh, it's nothing." Jared said, laughing nervously.

Alex looked down. "Uhmmm.... Okaayy then...."

"Just voices in my head, surely you must have them too."

Alex frowned. "No, I don't have voices in my head. Maybe I'm just different..." she lied, not wanting to make Jared feel bad.

Jared frowned. "What's it like?"

Alex shrugged. "You just don't have anyone talking to you in your head. Only your own thoughts."
