My local Wal-mart has stopped selling tamas, And then one day I asked the manager if they had any tamas left and he said " Whats a tamagotchi?".

Whats up?

Nothing to be really concerned about. It depends on what Tamagotchi you're looking for. If you're looking for something like a Music Star or older, it's kind of understandable that they're sold out. Since the release of the TMGO, the other versions are starting to be phased out/put on clearance/not being sold as much/etc. If you're looking for a TMGO however, don't worry if your local Wal-Mart doesn't have them and if people who work there don't seem to know what you're talking about. The last part is very normal. I've talked to many people at Target, Wal-Mart, and even Toys 'R' Us and they always have the same reaction ("What's A Tamagotchi?"). They're just not as popular as they once were. The Wal-Mart that I usually visit never seems to have them either and so what I do is I either wait (especially for the TMGO...they might just be out of stock and the people who work at the store don't keep track of these things, for instance) or I visit other stores near me.

Oh, okay. Because The music stars were all gone and there used to be alot but whenever i got one off the rack I never saw anyone around that has one and none of my friends have any. Its kind of sad. :(

Yeah, they were probably put on clearance and just sold that way until they were gone or maybe they were just removed after a while to make room for other toys. If it makes you feel better, I too tried hunting around for clearance items (like Music Stars or maybe even anything older...I was hoping to get lucky) because I kept hearing about TamaTalkers who went to Walgreens or the like and bought a ton there or something like that. I could never really find any but oh well. Thank goodness for Ebay, is all I have to say! :D

Well, last year i went to wall-greens and i bought a V3... but i was stupid and took it apart, and i destroyed it,, i did the same thing with a Tamagotchi Mini that found BRAND NEW at game stop for $5.00...

D: But they sell tamas at gamestop? And for five dollars? thats cheap!

I think that highly depends on location. For example, I can never find any clearance Tamagotchis at the Walgreens near me. I think Game Spot rarely sells Tamagotchis. In fact, this is the first time I've heard tell of it!

I went to toys R us yesterday. Sad news. the ONLY tama they had there was a memetchi tama-go (all the others were out of stock) And I didnt see a single music star. Im telling you, Some day the tamas will end up like the littlest pet shop pets (BORING) Which I hope never happens!! :( :( :(

I know, I should check trademe or ebay.

The shops are now: It's a TamaGO or Nothing!

Some of us already have a tamago!

There also used to be at least one kind of tamagotchi in every shop that sells kid's toys.

They're disappearing!

Yeah! When I went to toys R us a few days ago theu only had one tama-go in stock. On ebay I saw a couple of deals for a $15 dollar tama-go but It looked pretty fake, Im stating this out because My local toys R us has them for $21.

In New Zealand, in stores there are only tamas for 3 months, then the stock is put on clearance and they don;t get any more. -_-
