Which were secret for about 10 pages.

"Well, I like to think I'm pretty hotstuff, you know? ;D" Chase laughed a little, "But serious biz now, my mom apparantly was a socceress. So that's where I got my magic, ya' know. From my momma. And... I have a younger sister, but she's such a squirt and she's boring and normal."

Oh I see. xD

"No one's boring." Joe said, "You've just got to find the interesting parts."

 

[v3v3v3]

"I guess that's a way to look at life, but my little brat is... Really quite bland, if that's a better dictionary to describe it." Chase laughed, "Haven't seen her for a while tough. I left the nest a while ago, you know?"

"What's she like?" Joe asked.

 

[v3v3v3]

"Annoying. And she's always like 'MAGIC TRICK CHASE, MAGIC TRICK'. And eventually it'll get on my good vibes and I'll shush her little gumdrop mouth." Chase shrugged, "But I guess she's a nice squirt. A sister's a sister, and eventually she'll get better with her little pestering problem."

Joe was having trouble translating Chase's unique dialect. "When did you last see her?"

 

[v3v3v3]

"Hmm... Three hundred sixty-five days at least. Haven't been at the house for about that long." Chase laughed, "When my parents call though she always has to get in her voice, but at least I keep in contact."

I wonder where Chase is from. Hmmm.

"Awww, well it's good she talks to you, right? Sisters are awesome. I have an older sister, but I haven't seen her in forever."

Antarctica.

 

[v3v3v3]

"Well, older sisters are different from the spawn of the devil that are little ones." Chase shrugged, "Why haven't you seen her for such a long time?"

Yes. His family are the only population there.

 

[spongebobiac]

Joe shrugged, "She ran away from the village we grew up, and I haven't seen her since. Also, my roleplayer forgets."

And the penguins.

"Aw man, abandonment much? Sorry about that, bud. your roleplayer does that a lot doesn't she"

They evolved from penguins.

 

[spongebobiac]

"Eh, it's really fine. I made friends and they kinda took her place. One pretends he doesn't know me, though." Joe laughed, "Another's a lot like a little sister to me. Although I occasionally accidentally eat her flesh a bit but you know, it happens."

That makes sense.

 

[v3v3v3]

"...Sounds like you have some friendship complications, hmhm? I don't think that's good for your noggin. Or your friend's."

That's also why Chase likes tuxedos so much.

Joe shrugged, "It's not really that complicated. He's just antisocial. I'm working on that, though. ...Admittedly, I have been working on that for years, but I think I'm making some progress! Maybe. Okay, not much."

Maybe all magicians used to be penguins.

"Well you seem to be quite the social butterfly, if he's still anti-social after being around you for a long time that's weird. Or maybe he's just going to forever be a caterpillar." Chase shrugged, "It'll probably work eventually though, right?"

I want to study that theory now.

 

[spongebobiac]

"Well it's not that he's antisocial around me. He's antisocial around me when anyone else is around. It's like he's got a reputation to uphold or something."

Write a book about it.

"Well that seems almost kinda offending. I would take that he was embarrassed to be around me. Have you asked him if that's it?"

I should. "Magicians and Penguins. The Connection Revealed."

"Oh, I know he is. But I'm also like, his only friend. Yeah, it is kinda complicated when you think about it, I guess. I mean, he likes being around me. But not when other people are too."

It'll be a best seller fo sho.

"Man, that would make me angrier than a bull who was painted red!" Chase frowned, "He shouldn't do that to you."
