Blank shrugged, then went to the kitchen to find something to eat. He hummed cheerfully as he did so, then looked out the window to the back yard. He saw the tombstone of Sally, and his cheerfulness faded. Poor Sally.

Lumina rolled onto her side. She hadn't felt this old before. Did Damien think it was strange that she was so old? Could he even find her attractive? She looked about 21, so it couldn't be bad... could it?

Ebil took his rifle from his pocket and looked at it, memories flooding back.

"you were the best sharpshooter i ever knew...". he tossed it aside and left the base.

Damien was fumbling around the basement, looking for something

Lumina closed her eyes and sighed. Then she heard a noise from the basement. She wondered what Damien was doing down there.

Damien tripped on an old chest, "that's where i put it..."

he got back to his feet and unlocked it, the lid creaked noisily as he lifted it

Ebil was at a local bar, drinking until it was illegal

Blank went to the bar to see what was up with Ebil. "Hey man, what's wrong?" He asked, sitting beside him.

Lumina listened closely, confused. What the heck could he be doing?

"You know whats wrong...", he said, downing yet another whisky

Damien pulled a large-ish crystal from the chest, inspecting it carefully, "Seems ready...but we need to test it"

Blank gently removed the glass from his hand. "Look, Zero is dead. Drinking and moping isn't going to bring her back. You and I both know that. I know you cared about her, but she wouldn't want you to be this way. Besides, she's still with you, whether you know it or not."

Lumina went down to the basement and idly watched Damien holding the crystal.

Ebil sighed, "this isnt the first time...twice now i've lost someone who i cared for."

Damien traced his fingers over the runes jittering across the crystals surface, smiling with curiousity

Blank watched him intently and said, "Go on. I want to know about it."

Lumina watched with intense curiousity, but she said nothing.

"It was back in the ebil realm...me and jarick were fighting off some enemies. I was hiding in some bushes with the sniper rifle and he was going melee...i mis-aimed one shot and got him in the head.."

He wiped the tears away and took a deep shuddering breath, "after that i was in no state to even hold a rifle...i was detained for a few months before i could learn to shoot again."

Damien turned to exit the basement but froze in place when he saw lumina, "uh...hi ^ ^;; "

Lumina asked calmly, "What are you doing?" She crossed her arms.

Blank handed him a tissue. "Accidents happen. But we have to go on, live our lives to the fullest, for them."

"Seeing how this crystal was doing..i dont know what it does though.", he said, calm as anything

Ebil nodded weakly and rubbed his eyes

Blank said, "C'mon, let's get you home. I think it would be good for you to take a nap."

"I couldnt understand the language when i got it..but it's a Bril'kerrak crystal", Damien said, taking care not to drop it
