Hiya everyone!

I've had my Tama-Go for a while now, but since I'm so clumsy, I've dropped and scratched it a few times. The scratches are all on the plastic screen protecter that they come with. I was wondering if there was I way that maybe I could get rid of them, or if there's a way I could (maybe) order a new one.

Thank you! This is my first time on TamaTalk, hope I didn't put this in the wrong topic >.<'

Yeah my tama-go has been scratching really easy and ive only had it for a short while! You can use any sort of scratch remover polish, try xerapol, its made for plastics.

Just never use nail polish remover...I used it on my TMGC connection because I needed to remove some krazy glue I got on the case, and I ended up getting some on the screen, and I started rubbing away. Well, I found out that nail polish remover melts plastic. It smudges and smears and warps it :/

Many people recommend Toothpaste... It helped for something I had some pretty visible scratches on... It made them less visible.... I don't think it would remove them fully though. More like a mask...

And you are in the right spot. :)

I can try to buy some remover (not nail polish remover though, haha). Toothpaste? How does that work? Sounds like an easy idea :3

Well, I used tooth paste type, not gel type BTW... I really don't know.... I think it was more like going into the scratches and covering/filling them.

I tried it for grins because it was on something fairly special to me since I was looking for it for a while to get my own. (Let alone I got it for a great deal)

Hmm, ok. I don't have the gel toothpaste, so I could possibly use that. Are there any instructions on how to do it? (Use a wet cloth, how much to use, etc.)

Also, afterwards once you use the toothpaste, how good does it cover up the scratches?

Thanks!

I just spread it in gently with my finger on the scratches... I only put maybe a pea size on it (If that) on where the scratches were... Then let it sit for a minute or 2. Then I would wipe it off with a paper towel. It helped a little bit... but I wouldn't expect your scratches to be gone...

I also used an Eraser and rubbed on the scratches... I really don't know if it helped at all. It more blurred my screen in the spots... but you can easily use the paper towel... (A softer type...) or a soft wash-cloth.

Its one of those things that may work or may not work... I guess it really depends on the scratches...

Toothpaste works for me too, but nothing will really remove the scratches, just hide them. I think there are a few knitted Tama-Go covers still up on tBay (TamaTalk buying/selling section) so you might be able to get one. ;)
