i really want a rat i see then in the pet stores all the time and i think they are so cute, i dont no anyone who owns one but i searched them up and they are supposed to be realy smart and they can be really attached to their owners, u can even train them to open a door for u! but every one i no thinks rats are scary, and every time i see people at the pet stores taking one home the ppl are really gothic and scary or they are really wierd and scary, and i dont want to be branded as a freaky person for the rest of my life, also my parents HATE ratsdo u no what i should do?

I accually have about 10 rats

There tamer than mine and hampsters and wont bite unless you have food all over your fingers xP

They all have the same name though Jojo.

Convince them that you want one. Fancy rats are usually much nicer that sewer rat, so if you're getting a pet rat tell your parents you're getting a fancy rat, not a sewer rat because they probably think you're talking about a sewer rat.

I had two pet rats when I was a little kid. I terrorized them, haha. they didnt bite or anything, though, even though i spun them around and pretty much played with them like little dolls (hey, i was like five). We had to get rid of them because my mom was pregnant and she didnt want to clean their cages

Rats? Ew!!! No offence. I'd rather have a mouse they are much smaller and cuter. And where I live in Alberta, Canada, it's a rat-free province. The only one in the world, I think. We are special. (jk ;])

Acually rats ome in alot of sizes even mouse size

I think mouses are kinnda uglyer than rats and they bite Xo

You can tame rats and if your a good owner if you call there name theyll come to you like a dog

Rats are cute in my opinion.

Well, do a lot of chores around the house when you aren't asked to. When you have enough money to buy a rat, then show your parents that you are very responsible, and when the time is right, ask the using manners and everything for your parents to bring you to the pet store for a pet rat.

Even though gothic people or people that look plain scary in general buy rats from the pet store, a lot of other people have pet rats, too.
