You don't have to make your own avvie, you can just go to Avatar Magic and choose one. You don't have to choose an avvie based on your siggy, you can get an avvie you like and change the colors in your siggy so it could match your avvie.

I tried doing copy&paste with an Anberlin avvie but it didn't work.

You can't copy and paste avatars. You find one on the Internet, and save it to a file. Then you click on 'Browse' and find the file you saved it in, then find where the avatar is in the file and click 'OK'
