"You just said you aren't in control." Cye looked down, walking over to the cage, and taking out a needle from a class cabinet. "Don't worry, it's painless."
Jade watched helplessly as Cye went over to get the needle, and it wasn't part of the act. "Cye, please! I'll try, I'll really try, give me a chance!" She sobbed, hitting her hand off the wall again to emphasise her words and get his attention.
"Sorry Jade, I want to help. But you could be lying, and even if you weren't it wouldn't be safe." Cye had tears coming from his eyes, as he entered the cage and quickly closed it.
Jade was fully panicking now, and she backed up as far away from Cye as possible. "Cye, PLEASE!" She begged. "I'll stay at home or even here if you want, just give me a chance!"
Cye looked at the needle, and then back up at Jade. "If you stayed here, you would have to stay in this cage for the rest of your life. Is that worth it?"
Jade thought quickly. "I'll prove I can control myself, Cye." She said quietly, her eyes on the needle. "I'll stay in here until I prove I can, and then you'll let me at least be free in the house?"
"I would be going against the law myself if I kept you alive." Cye looked down. "But it's worth it for you." Then he smashed the needle. "If anyone asks, I tripped and broke it." he gave Jade a small smile.
"Thank you." Jade whispered, throwing her arms around Cye. Partly to show him that she was so, so grateful for what he was doing, partly so she could get rid of the massive grin that had been building up. "So, so much..."
Cye blushed softly, and returned the hug. "I really shouldn't be doing this, but you're my only friend, so it's all worth it. I'm going to help you, you're going to be able to control Princess."
"Thank you..." Jade repeated, eventually backing out of the hug and looking up at Cye. "I promise you, I'm going to try. I can't remember anything about when I'm her, but I know the damage she causes..."
Cye nodded, sitting down against the wall. He decided he couldn't even leave the cage, just to be sure Jade wasn't lying. He had to keep a close eye on her.
"Oh..." Dex blushed, not knowing what to say. He wasn't sure yet if he had the same feelings for Fawn. "Come on, it's not a school night, let's go do something else. he said, cautiously grabbing her hand.
Jade shook her head sadly. God, all this acting was hurting her head. "I-I don't know... like I said, I can't remember anything when I'm her. I just see destruction on the news the next day."
Jade looked at the floor. "You got cool powers... but I guess mine could only be used for destruction." She sighed. "I'm really going to be stuck in here a while." She really needed to send another text to Candace, but Cye was still here... "Cye... can I have something for breakfast?"
