questions about the 4.5

I just got a 4.5 recently, and it's fun, but I got so many questions about it!!

-is there a way to train it not to poop? Like in the tama-go it does a dance beforehand and if it keeps going in the toilet it learns not too?

-is there a way to give it specific skills? Like i want a spiritual tamagotchi, but withought even trying it has more beauty points then anything and i dont know how that happened or how to control it...

-is there a way to choose what family it goes into before it becomes a adult?

-i remember seeing that the parents group it was in determines what group the child goes in. Is there a way to change the group or am i stuck with only certain ones...

-what time does it wake up cause i keep waking up to it starving and poop everywhere and i feel bad...

-is something messed up on the days counter? Cause ive had it on for 3 days and its only 1 year old

-for the longest time my tamagotchi refused to go to preschool, even when all of its hearts were up and its was perfectly content.i tried disiplining it..everything. Why did it refuse to go?

-how do i choose their teacher? Am i not allowed too? Cause all that happened was i got mail and a teacher came and then they went to school. Its so confusing

-do teachers correspond with certain skills? If so which ones which...

-it is not trained at all. I do not know when to train it. Even when it is crying and i think i did the right thing its training bar doesnt go up. Is it normal for its training bar to be 0?

-how do the fortune cookies work...like the stars for the heart and hefty guy and money..

-or mail in general. How does that work?

• nope, no potty training. everybody but the babies do have the dance going on, though
• yes; when you become a teen, you'll have three more games unlocked. the game apple gives funny points, shape gives gorgeous, and manhole gives spiritual. these games also give you 6 points for a win instead of the 5 from the random skill-point yielding games
• the family thing doesn't seem to affect the evolution on the v4.5; any teen can eolve into any of the adults of that gender with the right skill points. it does also come down to chance; say you want a spiritual adult character, ura kuchipatchi--spiritual is your dominant category, but you can get either ura kuchipatchi or ura togetchi. if you get togetchi, you can reset and wait for it to evolve again
• the parents don't change anything, as far as I'm aware
• when it wakes up depends on what Tamagotchi you have, but usually around 9:00. usually goes to bed around 21:00
• sometimes it can't go to work. did you have a toddler? did the job mail come already? if it didn't come you have no prechool to go to, yet
• you choose the teacher after preschool: when you get the mail, as a teen, telling you to go to regular school, you can scroll through the three skill points' teachers with the select button
• the teacher with the mouth if the funny one. flower is the gorgeous one. last guy is the spiritual
• when it cries, you praise it. when it calls you for no reason, i.e., hearts are still there in both areas and there's no illness, then discipline it. when you connect and it gives poop or something and has a funny face, discipline it
• point bag stars, when at 3, let you earn 500 points instead of 400 when you win games. hearts tell you how your love life is (you'll be more likely to get a poop or snake in the mail if they're just 1). healthy stars, I don't know
• mail, like the fortune cookie, will come one minute after it wakes up. sometimes it will be a fortune cookie. other times, regular mail (second icon) will come, and the king could be giving you a gift through that. when you're an adult, about a day after you evolve, the job mail will come and you'll be able to scroll through some job offers (exclamation point for importance)

no, there is not. I don't think potty training was introduced until the tama-go.

playing certain games with it can give it spiritual points. The game manhole can raise spiritual points.

not in the first gen. After that, though, it all depends on who your tama marries. If your tama marries someone from the mame family, the baby will brow into a mame character. Same with the meme and kuchipa family.

I think you're stuck with whatever family group your tama married.

that does seem kind of weird. Not too sure about this one. Might be a glitch

That's weird. It might have been underweight. Sometimes if your tama has hit it's minimum weight, it will refuse to play games.

I think you press the first button to change the teacher, and then the middle button to choose the teacher. If you're tama was going to preschool, though, you can't choose a preschool teacher.

The Turtle gives funny points, the flower gives passion points, and Mr.Canvas gives spiritual points.

You get training points for disciplining it when it beeps for no reason. You also get points for selecting the toilet icon when it has the squiggly lines around it.

I can't remember what any of the fortune cookie symbols mean. Sorry about that.

You get mail either 2 or 3 times a day. You'll either get a fortune cookie, get points stolen from you, get a snake in the mail, get free gotchi points, or get an invitation to school or work

That one is for important events such as getting a job or going to school, as mentioned above.

if they're crying, praise them. If they beep for for no reason discipline them.

Thank you guys! Oh and, you know how when you go away with the teacher and it shows three gifts and you have to choose from them? How do you know which has the points? All they do is blink, and all of them do, so i dont know how to determine which has it

the flashing two are the ones being swapped, kinda like when a guy has one ball under one of three cups.

follow the blinking. say boxes B and C swap. (C position is always the box holding it first, of course.) the points are under box B now.

then A and C flash, switching positions--the box is still under box B

then A and B switch--now the points are under A. Go under box A using select, and hit confirm.

if you didn't catch it, the odds are in your favor if you choose box C.

The last part of the fortune cookies - the health stars; I think they might affect how quick the hunger and happiness hearts empties, the outcome of one-use-items such as the pot plant, box and spade, and also eventual food gifts from the king. For example; once when the health fortune was at minimum, the king came and gave me my tama's least favourite food. (Luckily I recognised it and never made him eat it... )

The heart/relationship fortune affects your tamagotchi's relationship to other tamagotchis when connecting. Like, if the fortune is low your tama is liklier to be mean (although the training bar also affects this) and if the fortune is high your tama is liklier to fall in love.
