I did. He was one of the best animals I've ever seen. Ever heard of a bug who begs to be taken out of it's cage? :) Or one that'll lay back and relax when you pet it? When he died, I was miserable. I love a lot of bugs, but thanks to him, I appreciated them even more. ;) He was my favorite pet bug of all time. (out of approximately 4 million :p ) Now mantises are my favorite insects and I can't STAND when people think they're "icky." Anyone who knew Moontis would not think he was icky. That horrible daddy-longleg! :mimitchi: I fed it to him, cause I thought he might be sick of crickets, and he got poisened and died. :kusatchi: So, anyone else got a mantis or ever had one? ;)

they were so kool, i was realy interested in them a couple years back.

but they all started dieing and i dont know why.

They aren't icky at all. I don't like most bugs but I really don't mind those. They are really kind of interesting to look at. I've got a story about a Mantis. I was talking to someone in the lockeroom when I felt something in my hair. I brushed it away then sreiked when it landed on my sholder. I then seen it was a Praying Mantis(a huge one at that) and took it off my shoulder to look at it then went outside to let it go. Everyone was standing clear of me like I had a bomb or something. I screamed because I thought it a spider and was glad to see a Huge Praying Mantis.

Aww that is just like me!

I have almost created myself a mantis God which is my old mantis pet.

Mine ended up dying because the crickets grew faster than the mantis, and starting eating the mantis, so I isolated the mantis, but it seemed to be on its last legs. :(

I really loved the way its arm were, and how it would respond to you when you stroked it (sinking its claws in you =)) and how it cleaned its legs. It was so fascinating that I have been desperately looking for more.

omg i hate that waiter!!! lol!!! My mom got a little scared of him when he was full grown, and once she insisted on using a net to take him out of his cage. He didn't like that, and clawed at her a little! LOL!!! :D He liked people hands better. Oh and PockyGirl - he accidently got in my hair once and I was really freaked out cause I didn't know where he went! My mom had to find him! Wow I loved him! I had some other mantises too, but they just weren't as great. No personality, really. Sure, they were tame as opposed to a wild mantis (which bit me every time I tried to touch it) but they just weren't sweet like my first one was.
