[Pokemon Omega Ruby] Oh my gosh.

I was on Route 111 and I was chaining to get shinies (I am doing a shiny hunt on this route, mainly for a shiny Trapinch), and all of a sudden, I saw a SHINY Cacnea. I'm like, "OH MY GOD I GOT A SHINY ON MY FIRST TRY!" It took at least 8-10 encounters (I think) for that to appear. I named her Saboten (Japanese for Cactus).

All I did was run away until I encountered a shiny (by seeing the same Pokemon multiple times), then if a shiny appeared, I'd catch it (depending on what Pokemon had appeared), which would've probably reset the chances and broke the chain. But I got my very first shiny in my game, all on my own!

I am proud of myself!

Sweet! I'm playing Alpha Sapphire and I found a shiny Hariyama, first shiny in that game. I ended up trading it to my best friend though since I'm doing a nuzlocke, gah. Anyway, good luck getting your shiny Trapinch ^_^

arg I miss my old pokemon games i lent them with one of my gameboys to my friend and they deleted all of the saved data so I just sorta gave up on trying to play with them. I'd found a glitch that let you duplicate pokemon so I had like 20 rayquaza(s) and shE DELETED THEM A L L

Hordes also have a higher chance for shinies to appear so you may try that as well
