I am pretty sure that is the Mondai no Penguin, which is based on a children's television show in Japan. I actually just won one on eBay last week and it should be arriving sometime soon(ish...it is coming from Japan). The one I got came with the box/instructions but it is in Japanese. I couldn't find any information on it before I bought it so hopefully it will be fun! I didn't realize it was a pedometer pet, have you received it yet/has it been fun?

Edited to add: He is also called Beckham Penguin. There are clips of the show on youtube. I will probably be making a review video when I get mine.

I have been running it for a week or two and it is fun!
I found them on amazon for sale, but no info anywhere else, I was looking on youtube, but nothing there too! Can you provide links to the videos that you have found? I'd be very grateful!

Sure thing! They aren't videos of the pet but of the actual TV show. I'll have to link them a bit later as I'm at work. What was the listing on amazon called that you found yours through?

It might make you appreciate your little guy even more! The one I am getting is blue and red, not a cool iridescent shell like yours! I must have misread your message earlier, I thought you said you got it from Amazon!
