"Lived here my whole life." Eleanor smiled. In truth, she was finding this all very, very strange. "How old are you?" She asked, glancing back at Zane.
"16." Mix said, looking around. That's when Jez appeared. Jez ran up to Mix and tried to hug him, but Mix just pushed her away. "What do you want?" he asked Jez coldly, getting up and trying to walk away from her.
Eleanor jumped, slowly getting up and retreating back to her and Zane's table. "Problem: Jez appeared, as I'm sure you've noticed." She said, sitting down to seem normal. "What should we do..?"
Eleanor's hand went to her mouth, and she simply stood and stared at the body for a few moments. "What... what the heck? Where's Mix?" A pause. "Mix is what that boy was called..."
"Nope, right here." Mix was on top of the coffee shop, smirking. "Sorry mom, I'm not quite done here yet." Doing a flip, he jumped down and walked over to Zane. "Hello father, nice to meet you..." he said, punching Zane in the stomach.
"Well, you would be beating him up too if you know what happened." Mix said, punching Zane in the face. "He left us mom! One day, he just disappeared and never came back. So now I'm going to not let him leave, because he'll be dead!"
"Well he did!" Mix yelled, and Zane fell to the ground. "I remember it clearly. It was my 13th birthday, and well... I woke up to get to school. It was a normal day. Then I remember I got home, and mom was crying. She said dad was gone..." Mix had a tear coming down his eye. "Then Jez came along. She told me she could help me find you, but she just lied to try and get me to love her."
"So why come here?" Eleanor asked, refusing to believe it. "If you kill Zane you won't exist at all! Don't you get that? Believe me, I've messed around with time, and it didn't work out well..."
