"Diana." Lucinda scowled. "Pretty, clever, perfect. You were probably trying to hit on her."

"Damien sent you? So you've seen him?"

"No, the Damien from the other future." Zane explained.

Zane just had this dumb look on his face. "You're Diana's sister? You're so different then I remember you..." was all he said.

"Ah." Eleanor sighed. "So... maybe we should do something... where's Jez these days?"

Lucinda's face was one of shock. "Y-you know me?"

"Not sure. She was following me, but I lost her by taking that detour into the future." Zane said.

"Yeah...I remember you. Diana used to always tutor me, and I always saw this cute girl at her house, but never saw her around town. After a while, I gave up, just thinking you were a figment of my imagination." Zane sighed.

"Yeah... let's just hope she doesn't try to blow any of us up." Eleanor said, before acting on impulse and moving to curl up with Zane.

"What did she tutor you on?" Lucinda asked, narrowing her eyes in suspiscion.

Zane put his arms around Eleanor and closed his eyes.

"Well, like math and stuff. It was pretty annoying, because I didn't need a tutor, but for some reason she forced me to come to your house." Zane sighed.

Eleanor sighed, burying her head in Zane's chest. "Is this ever going to end, Zane?"

"Is this all you wanted to talk to me about? My sister?" Lucinda said, the scowl returning.

"Hopefully it will soon. Then we can settle down, live happily and peacefully." Zane said softly.

"No, what I'm trying to say is that I remember you! You were that cute girl that never left her house. You were that cute girl I always thought about!" Zane shook his head. "But now I'm confused. See, I'm supposed to fall in love with that girl before, but I don't want to because she's already in love with me from a different timeline..." Zane sighed. "It's a long story." He then explained everything.

"Sounds good." Eleanor smiled, but it was only brief. "Sometimes I wish I never went to that party, but..."

Lucinda gave a giggle, stepping forwards to rest a hand on Zane's face. "You don't have to be him!" She said. "You can be my friend and be different, just like Nick!"

Zane frowned. "Yeah, but if you didn't go, you wouldn't have met me."

Zane blushed a little. "You're right, I don't have to be him. I can be me. In fact, I'm going to change my name for plot convenience and to show that we're not the same person." he paused. "So, what should my name be?"

"Yeah, that's what the 'but' was for." Eleanor smiled, reaching up to kiss Zane on the cheek.

"I don't know! It's your name!" Lucinda giggled, clapping her hands in excitement.

Zane gave a small smile, before yawning.

"Well, I'll let you pick." he said softly. "It's the least I can do."

Eleanor followed suit, yawning and curling up more. "Maybe we should sleep..."

"Noooo! I can't!" Lucinda said. "You!"

"Yeah, good idea." Zane said softly, kissing her gently. "Goodnight."

He laughed a bit. "How bout you think about it, okay?"

Timeskip?

"Night." Eleanor smiled, getting herself comfortable before falling asleep.

Lucinda nodded, grinning. "Yeah, you too."

Yeah, sure.

Zane woke up in the morning, Eleanor still curled up in his arms.

Zane #2 looked at Lucinda. "Are you still in love with me?" he asked awkwardly.

Eleanor woke up a few moments after Zane, stretching and sitting up. "Hey."

"I don't think so." Lucinda said bluntly. "You're my friend. Nick is my friend. I like friends." She changed the subject. "Thought of a name?"

"Oh, okay. That's good." he said softly. "Cause if you did, it would just be really awkward. Oh, and no name yet..."

Zane smiled. "Hey, how'd you sleep?"

"Well, we can't keep just calling you Zane!" Lucinda giggled. "That's too much like that other boy."

"Mm, not amazingly... then again, I didn't have twisted dreams like the last few days, so it's all good."

Zane nodded. "Yeah, I guess. So...now what do you want to do today? We have about a week until we have to fight them, that's when they'll be at their weakness."

"Well, I want you to pick a name." he said softly.
