"Not sure. She was following me, but I lost her by taking that detour into the future." Zane said.
"Yeah...I remember you. Diana used to always tutor me, and I always saw this cute girl at her house, but never saw her around town. After a while, I gave up, just thinking you were a figment of my imagination." Zane sighed.
Zane put his arms around Eleanor and closed his eyes.
"Well, like math and stuff. It was pretty annoying, because I didn't need a tutor, but for some reason she forced me to come to your house." Zane sighed.
"Hopefully it will soon. Then we can settle down, live happily and peacefully." Zane said softly.
"No, what I'm trying to say is that I remember you! You were that cute girl that never left her house. You were that cute girl I always thought about!" Zane shook his head. "But now I'm confused. See, I'm supposed to fall in love with that girl before, but I don't want to because she's already in love with me from a different timeline..." Zane sighed. "It's a long story." He then explained everything.
"Sounds good." Eleanor smiled, but it was only brief. "Sometimes I wish I never went to that party, but..."
Lucinda gave a giggle, stepping forwards to rest a hand on Zane's face. "You don't have to be him!" She said. "You can be my friend and be different, just like Nick!"
Zane frowned. "Yeah, but if you didn't go, you wouldn't have met me."
Zane blushed a little. "You're right, I don't have to be him. I can be me. In fact, I'm going to change my name for plot convenience and to show that we're not the same person." he paused. "So, what should my name be?"
Zane nodded. "Yeah, I guess. So...now what do you want to do today? We have about a week until we have to fight them, that's when they'll be at their weakness."
"Well, I want you to pick a name." he said softly.
