Hello everyone, 34 year old original tamagotchi player here. Had a few when they released, even got into the digimon version. Been lurking here just listening, thought I'd say hi. Gotten a bit of a collection now, even a sealed tamagotchi music star among various others. Always wanted to create my own but, I'm sure it's difficult.

Anyway nice to formally meet everyone!

They are worth it loose too, they have a lot of functionality and always end up being more fun for me than the original. Which color did you get?

Oooh, good to know! Now I'm really looking forward to playing with the X!

Hmmm, of the digimon I've played, the dm20th is my current fave, but I've only played with my Digivice V and DM20th. I haven't had a chance to pull out the digimon X or pendulum nightmare soldiers yet, so that could be due to change once I start them up.

How is the digivice V? Sounds pretty cool. As well as the pendulum, ill have to get them all at some point

I got the white Music Star with pink accents - very simple, but ultimately the most durable I think. I'm excited to play it once my current round of pets run their course.

I'm very, VERY tempted by the teal and pink Digimon X. I played the original Digimon back in the day but don't remember much...what is it like vs a classic Tamagotchi or Osutchi/Mesutchi (if you've played that version)?

Nice! I think I have a loose one of that as well.

For the original digimion, you feed them and give them strength pills, bathroom, train, and battle other people who also have a digimon. The new X has an adventure mode where you fight several monsters in a stage and you gain experience to level up. You get some extra food options that boost things like power and hp when used for a few fights and you get them as rewards. There are a few other things, like more evolutions and backup, definitely fun for 20 dollars

Thank you for the detailed comparison! The added features on the X sound worth it, especially the Adventure Mode (which I have already encountered on the Vital Bracelet). Next time they're on sale I may go for it!

Thanks everyone! Yeah I'll keep posting with my collection once we unpack and I make bad choices like binge buying more. Or garage sales, here's hoping
