NEW - Tamagotchi School

I just received my new Tamagotchi School in the post from Japan the other day. It is quite an interesting little thing... You don't actually raise any specific tama but rather care for and teach a group of them. I'm having a lot fun trying to figure everything out

I would just like to know if anybody else knows anything about them? The instruction booklet is entirely in Japanese. I can understand a little Japanese but am still not completely sure if I'm heading down the right track.

How long is the gameplay for (can you die)?

Do the characters grow or change in appearance?

Are there any special events that happen on it?

They are Japanese. You can buy them in Japan or on eBay. I know they have some in YesAsia.
