New Tamagotchi Angel Rerelease Log

I got the new Angelgotchi rerelease after asking Tamagotchi USA to rerelease it. My Dreamy Angel device is cute, even though I miss the 90s angel aesthetic of the original Angelgotchi devices released in 1998. When I was a kid in the 90s, I wanted a Tamagotchi Angel SO much, I even asked my parents to get me one for Christmas. That year, I was happy just to get a regular Tamagotchi device. Turns out, my parents did notice that I had put the words “Tamagotchi Angel” on my Christmas list, but they couldn’t find any Angelgotchi devices at the local toy stores. Now, as of December 2024, I am finally living the life of my tama dreams and raising my own angel!

My first angel has already evolved from Obaketchi into Maruten earlier tonight, then went to bed at 8 PM. My goal tamas are Pukuten and Ginjirotenshi, as you can probably tell by my avatar. I can’t wait to see which characters my angel will evolve into!

My angel just evolved into Kodoten just little bit before bed time. Turns out, keeping my Tamagotchi Pix Party device running so often has made me better at caring for the original Tamagotchi devices. I’m so excited to see what/whom my angel baby becomes!

Good news: Chestnut Angel is the first adult character I got in Tamagotchi Angel! I am so happy because Chestnut Angel is the character you get for the best care. I was afraid because I fell asleep about 2 hours before my angel’s bedtime. When I woke up to my angel sleeping with a pile of poop next to it, I wasn’t sure what the impact would be. Alas, it was Chestnut Angel who greeted me at 8 am this morning!


I’m going to do my best to continue this good care streak all throughout the rest of today/tonight, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. I’ll keep you updated!

I’ve got 2 words for you: Twin Angels! They arrived this morning. What a cute way to wake up on New Year’s Eve!




I’m so proud of myself for getting the Twin Angels on my first Angelgotchi attempt! Perhaps I’m a more capable tama mama than I thought…

My Twin Angels are still alive and kickin’! It’s been 8 years (days) so far. I fell asleep last night and woke up 10 minute shy of 10 pm, which is their bedtime. I slept so long, their hunger and effort meters dropped to nothing, and their angel power declined into the 60s. Fortunately, I was able to feed them, play with them, and power up their angel power before they fell asleep.

I’ve noticed my Twin Angels are praying for me more often. Their prayer animation is so cute and actually makes me feel comforted. To my knowledge, I’ve been good at cleaning up their poop consistently and putting them to bed.

Sometimes, my Twin Angels will disappear from the screen. I found that only praising them doesn’t work, but it also didn’t work the one time I tried tapping the sensor after praising them.

My Twin Angels are praying for me more often. So, I decided to snap some pictures to document my Twin Angels’ prayer-praise-and-poop process:

1. Prayer


The Twin Angels pray for me as they shine with pixel sparkles.

2. Praise

I praise the Twin Angels for their prayers and they rejoice with the sun.

3. Poop

The Twin Angels poop to cleanse themselves. No prayer is complete without a poop afterwards.

That's good to know. I never had an Angel and doesn't have the re-release so it is interesting and enjoyable to read your log. Thanks for adding pictures, the sprites are so cute.
