As much as I love Lost in Blue, if you don't already have Animal Crossing, you really should get it.

Animal Crossing is a great game. It is kinda like a Roleplaying game, except no violence. It is fun, because you can decide how your character looks, name your town, and interact with the animals! The best part is, you get to do mostly everything you could do in real life ^_^

Definitely go with Wild World. It is just as good as the original GameCube Animal Crossing, but if you didn't have that, then it's pretty fun, basically. I play it every day.
